Hepatitis A and B are viral liver infections that can be debilitating and lead to further health problems down the line.
Thankfully Hep A is self limiting and should settle on its own but it is easily caught through infected food and water and symptoms of fever, abdominal pain and nausea are not particularly nice.
Hep B on the other hand is severe and can often become chronic/lifelong. The worrying thing about Hep B is that recurrent flare ups can lead to an increased risk of liver cancer.
So there is no reason not to get protected with the vaccine. Just 3 doses over 6 months is all it takes to start your protection.
